Ironbull Reg'd Bullmastiffs

In Memory of our Fallen Champions

Canadian Champion “Teshu”

June 25 1998 - February 21st 05

After passing his St. Johns Therapy Dog test at a young age on September 12, 1998, Teshu became a dedicated therapy dog. He was kept busy pleasing the chronically ill at a local palliative care hospital on a weekly basis. Teshu enjoyed his work and the late night snacks the patients would save for him. Teshu took his work very serious and looked forward to the visits as much as the patients looked forward to seeing him. One special visit stays in my mind. It was a patient who was strapped and confined to her wheel chair. On a very rare occasion she would groan and make a muffled sound. This exceptional evening Teshu picked up on the smell of food on her face and hands. It did not take him long to do a thorough cleanup to his patient with his big tongue. For the first time after many visits this girl smiled and laughed out loud. A very special and touching moment shared by Theshu and I and one that will live on in my heart forever. After a year of therapy work, Teshu returned for a short time to the show ring to complete his championship which he did with ease.

Teshu was a magnificent ambassador to the breed, as well as our breeding program. Zivian and I feel fortunate to have shared some wonderful years together with Teshu.

Teshu will always be our hero and sadly missed by us here at Ironbull

 “Porsha”

Oct. 6th 1998 - February 21st 05

Porsha came to us at four months of age by her breeder Marc Bernatti who has now become a wonderful friend to us. Marc is also the breeder of our Cactus who we are so proud of. Had it not been for Marc trusting us with his girls we would not have the program we do today. I still remember crying the very first time I saw Porsha when we met Marc at the Flying J truck stop in Kentucky. Both Zivian and I knew the moment we laid eyes on her, she was comming back to Canada with us.

Porsha was not a demanding girl and did not ask for much from life other then a few biscuits and the occasional belly rub. Her favourite and preferred babysitter when mom and dad were gone was Kim. Porsha\'s best times were spent with Kim on the bed snuggling beside her on the pillow at night. These special times the two of them spent together will be sadly missed by Kim.

Porsha and Teshu played together, ate together and slept together and will now be together forever. We are special and fortunate to have had Porsha in our lives. She taught us more than she will ever know and will never know of the impression she has left in our hearts.

We love you Porsha, more then words can say.

Can. Champion “IronBulls Sammie Davis Jr.”

July 8th 01 - Sept 2nd 04

Sammie was a fighter beginning his first 3 weeks of birth. I spent many nights crying holding Sammie asking him to be strong and give us another day. Due to our dedication and his determination he was able to finished his Championship and then went on to his new home with a family of 3 to live and be called “Sammie the King”. Sammie had a heart of gold and enjoyed each and every day of his life to his very fullest. Looking back seeing Sammie celebrate his life every day I sometimes believe he knew his time on earth with us would not be all that long and he wanted to make the most of it while he was here. There was not a day in our life while Sammie was here with us he did put a smile on our face and make us laugh. It was heartbreaking to learn of his passing to the Rainbow Bridge. Sammie will never be forgotten and will always be missed. We love you Sammie.
